On May 27 and 28, we held the BIOSENSEI project consortium meeting at the facilities of Wageningen University & Research (WUR) and the OnePlanet Research Center. The meeting was organized by Prof. Enrique Asín-García and the WUR team. This meeting had two objectives: to complete the integration of the entire system and to discuss the work carried out, as well as future tasks and the possibilities for continuing the project.

To this end, a very productive workshop was held on the first day, focused on assembling the various components of the biosensor system. Different groups were organized to assemble, on the one hand, the readout electronics, communications, and neuromorphic hardware, and on the other, the bioware elements with the transducers to obtain the biosensor. At the same time, we also held fruitful discussions on the Policy Brief regarding the legal aspects of GMOs, upcoming outreach activities, and the possibilities for further developing the project.

We enjoyed a pleasant dinner at a local restaurant, where we were able to test the local cuisine.

On May 28, the meeting continued at the WUR facilities, where we discussed the project results across the various work packages. We had interesting discussions about the integration of the entire system and future plans for its in-situ validation.
